We are your neighbors! Having a smaller service area limited to North Loop, Mill City, Old Town NE and Downtown MPLS. You can easily find us by our Animal Print uniforms. Having someone local who knows both the area and the animals around is a gamechanger. If you see one of us without a doggo- say hi! We always carry treats.

Safety and Play Kits

Taken on every visit, from a 30 minute check-in to a 8 day overnight. These contain water, whistle, clicker, tick remover, various treats, fine tooth comb, squeaky toy, First Aid Kit, and Toy Kit (specific to dogs or cats) among other items. Toys, Tick Remover, Combs and Water Bowls are cleaned and sanitized between uses.

Continued Education

All Singing Sitters are required to attend one Animal Behavior/Safety class or read one related book monthly. This approach to care fosters a learning environment leading to better animal safety. We are committed to a Fear-Free approach and positive reinforcement strategies; as recommended and followed by The American College of Veterinary Behaviorists.

Animal Care Professionals

With an All-in-one app, GPS tracking for Walks, updates, pictures and visit summaries, plus easy booking and changing of requests: we give you transparency showing exact times for walks. This unfortunately is not standard industry practice. Walk and Visit times will never be hidden! Additionally, we send a text message beforehand showing our ETA using custom-made software and after every visit with a lock up text. Physical and digital visit notes are also provided; frequent clients will have the option of a physical book to be updated at the end of every visit in addition to virtual notes.

CPR and Animal First Aid Certified

Keeping your family safe is our #1 priority. Singing Sitters are certified through The Red Cross. At this time, all Singing Sitters are also trained extensively in human CPR and first aid.

Checklists

As Humans, we are bound to make mistakes if we don’t have systems in place. With Cleaning Checklists, Visit Checklists, and Emergency Checklists already in place- you can rest easy knowing that everything is taken care of. All Singing Sitters additionally have individualized packing-checklists for overnight visits and are trained in the creation of effective checklists minimizing mistakes.

Professional Walk Belts

Having your dog hands-free means more protection and no more dropped leashes. For our dog walkers this also helps to distribute the load and prevents injuries. We additionally provide harnesses for Medium and Large dogs for no additional charge upon request or if your harness shows signs of wear and have both short training leashes and 20ft long leashes for excursions. Dogs are additionally taught no-pull styles of walking using positive reinforcement (exception for service animals). We are committed to using Fear-Free techniques for all animals in our care.
